Boyd  Holloway

Boyd began his interest in photography early in life. When he was in the sixth grade, his friend’s uncle introduced him to the magic of printing his own photographs. For the past forty-five years Boyd has been a self-employed professional photographer based in Portland, Oregon with three satellite studios in Washington and Oregon. His travels to photograph historical sites in Bolivia, Canada, Egypt, England, Greece, Mexico, Peru and the United States and his experience of the sacred sites in these locations has expanded his awareness of self and the family of man.

On his first trip to Egypt in 1994, Boyd met a couple from Lima, Peru who shared his interests and spiritual values. They kept in touch and in 2002, on Boyd’s first trip to Peru, they gave him a taste of true Peruvian hospitality and culture, an experience that the average tourist does not receive with commercial tour groups. On this trip Boyd was also introduced to Professor Jose Cuba and subsequently traveled with him, his wife and nine year old daughter.

A Canadian that Boyd met on his first trip to Egypt connected him with Taron Puri in 1996. He soon found out that he and Taron shared many common interests and a philosophy that has kindled their friendship over the years.

In 2006 Boyd returned to Peru with a group of five friends from Canada and his friends in Lima helped to make their trip a very unique experience. Professor Jose Cuba had agreed to show Boyd’s group the sites in the highlands of Peru, however, he died in an auto accident two days before the group arrived in Cusco. Even with everything that had happened the son of Professor Jose stepped in and made sure everyone had a wonderful experience. This is the quality of the people you will meet in Peru.
